Every CS2 Case
There are dozens of weapon cases in Counter-Strike 2. Here's a rundown of the major ones and the skins that make each worth a look.
How cases work
Each Counter-Strike 2 case holds a fixed pool of skins spread across four rarity tiers — mil-spec (blue), restricted (purple), classified (pink) and covert (red) — plus a small chance of a rare special item such as a knife or, in some cases, gloves. The previewer on the home page lets you browse any case's pool grouped by those tiers.
Notable cases and their standout skins
The cases below are among the most talked-about in the community. Drop rates and market values shift constantly, so treat any figures you read elsewhere as community estimates rather than fixed facts.
- Kilowatt Case — the first case built natively for CS2. Its headline covert skins are the AK-47 | Inheritance and AWP | Chrome Cannon, and it introduced the Kukri Knife as its rare special item.
- Recoil Case — a late CS:GO-era case still widely opened. The USP-S | Printstream and AK-47 | Ice Coaled are its most sought-after coverts.
- Dreams & Nightmares Case — a community-designed case with a surreal theme, best known for the AK-47 | Nightwish.
- Fracture Case — a high-supply case famous for the AK-47 | Legion of Anubis and Desert Eagle | Printstream.
Older versus newer cases
- Newer cases tend to be more expensive to open while supply is low.
- Older, high-supply cases are often cheaper but can still hold valuable coverts.
- Some early cases are no longer in the active drop pool, which can affect how the community values them over time.
